Annual Governance Statement 2024-25

During the academic year, the Management Committee has focused on delivering improvements in the effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, outcomes for pupils, and personal development, behaviour and welfare.

The impact of their work, includes:

• Building leadership capacity – subject co-ordination
• Presenting effective challenge to school leaders
• Improvements in pupil achievement through creation of broad and balanced curriculum and the provision of high quality teaching
• Effective use of the Pupil Premium funding to narrow the gap between those attracting the funding and their peers
• Improvements in the quality of teaching through joint moderation, lesson observations, learning walks, effective deployment of support staff, provision of CPD opportunities
• Building pastoral capacity
• Improvements in school attendance through detailed monitoring and collaborative working with families and other professionals
• Improvements in pupil behaviour through the sustaining of the positive regard approach
